David “Bo” Conrad, RCDD is the principal of Bo Enterprise™ of Richmond, Virginia. He has over 25 years of practical knowledge encompassing many facets of ITS Information Transport Systems. This includes hands-on, technical expertise in many aspects of copper, fiber optic and wireless design and installation services, site service auditing, project management, and training to international sales and marketing.
Bo is the author of the “Ask Bo” columns for various leading industry magazines and is a former instructor for University of California Santa Cruz and Berkeley Extensions. He has published two Fiber Optic Theory and Practice Level I and II training manuals that are used in over 300 colleges nationwide. Bo is frequently a keynote speaker and instructor for numerous industry trades shows nationwide.
As a certified instructor, he has instructed over 2,200 students in the BICSI™ Cabling Installation Program, the Aces™ Fiber Installer Programs, and as master instructor for six major telecom manufacturers’ warranty programs. Bo has also authored numerous training materials and on-line design and training sites for residential DSL telecom, and fiber optic manufacturers.
Bo was co-founder and past President/Director of CrossBow Communications™ of San Jose, California in 2008 ~ an 11 years old BICSI/ACES/CompTIA™ standards-based ATF Authorized Training Facility with consulting services. Courses included telecom copper and fiber, A+ and Net+ computer, on-line IT, as well as the CWNP™ Certified Wireless Network Professional curriculums.
Past experience also includes being the co-founder of a fiber telecom sales rep/consulting company along with being a board member on two high-tech, fiber optic cabling assembly and copper interconnect companies. Bo is also a former member of various ANSI/TIA/EIA, FDDI, and BICSI industry standards committees.
His education includes an MBA in Marketing, BS degree in Engineering, a, Registered Communication Distribution Design (RCDD) BICSI credentials and holds both Post-Secondary Instructor and Director Statuses for the State of California.
